What a beautiful Winter day for a hike! My husband, and 2 dogs enjoyed this straight forward, short trail to the peak on the morning away from our conference. It was around 45-55 degrees, clear blue sky with sun out. A small amount of snow in trail near start. The clear 360 degree view of all the other peaks was worth the climb. We started at 10 am, passed  1 couple w a dog going up and 1 runner + 2 solo hikers on the descent. I am slow, it was RT 6.8 mi, and we did it in 3 hours (27 min pace) which was 2 hours up and 1 back.
