Man was this a crazy one. I had never been since I was told the road was “manageable” with a higher clearance vehicle but man was it rough. In a Rav4 and going about 4 miles an hour dodging large rocks at 5 am in the morning is not fun. And we had to park 1/2 mile away from the trailhead since it was completely full. Well off to a rocky start but we start passing people and being passed up in return leap frogging a couple with two adorable terriers. Everyone was polite although you could tell some were more prepared than others. The top of both mountains had quite a number of people more than most of the other 14ners I had done by quite a while. Took 5:07 hours for the combo and the way down but was off the mountain by around 11:20 and came back from some much needed burritos and food.
