Trail conditions were good, with minor muddy areas. Cool temperature. Heavy fog throughout much of climb/ascent, with occasional sun poking, and most of the spectacular views were obscured. Around 4,000 feet of total ascent. Visitor center was open at the summit, offering a chance to warm up. Sunny for most of the return/descent. The stream flows were moderate. Hiked with 20 others – a terrific group of fellow hikers! Overall, it was a strenuous hike, and we averaged around 2+mph.
