When the weather is good in July, it is gonna be hot. Probably close to 90, but clear skies and therefore great views. Hiked from 10:30-3:30, and passed many masked hikers in both directions.
Turned out to be a sweaty uphill climb, but the descent was temperate. The one troubling part of the decent is that you get to see the ribbon of road that is in store for you.
