This was a second time hiking Mount San Jacinto.  It's up there (see what I did there?) as one of my favorites, as the trail is soft dirt for a fair portion of the way.  Other terrain includes some rocky parts of the trail, and definitely some legit boulders if you want to peak and get a pic with the elevation sign.  I am a bit sensitive and tend to get altitude sickness (headache and very little nausea), which were definite factors, since the tram brings you up a couple thousand feet in elevation before you even begin. The two of us in decent shape, started at 8:35AM at the trailhead, and were on the 2PM tram back down to the parking area.  We stopped minimally and spent about 30 mins at the summit having breakfast.  A great hike with fantastic views!
