We drove in the rain most the way to the peak but once we got on Mt. Baldy Road we quickly drove above the clouds to encounter nothing but sunshine. It was a great day to hike and the weather was wonderful with even having a little cool crisp to the air. We took Icehouse Canyon Trail to Cucamonga Peak Trail, and then on to the summit of Cucamonga Peak. We then hiked on over to Etiwanda Peak with it not being that far away. On the way down we encountered a few tarantulas on the trail; it's always pretty neat to see them.
