Hot day on the trail. Thought about turning around, but stuck with it and summited in under three-and-a-half hours. Bold chipmunks at the summit wanted to get into the snacks in my pack. In the last two miles, the ladybugs were swirling and massing in Icehouse Canyon. Flying through the air. A ladybug blizzard. Never seen anything like it.
