I was hoping to get in a last good winter hike, but the snow on the trail was intermittent enough to where crampons weren't necessary. Still, a beautiful hike and one of my favorites!! Be sure to follow the pink ribbons to the true summit. You'll find a ladder and some well-anchored webbing that will get you to the small concrete platform at the very top. From there, look to the north and you'll see snow-capped San Gorgonio and San Jacinto way off in the distance.
