My favorite so far!  Don’t get there early, the gate doesn’t open until 8. Fee is$10 per person. We drove in and parked at the first campground we saw. I saw bathrooms there but didn’t check to see if they were open.  Hike starts out strep and is challenging from the start. Halfway up we hit some patches of snow in the trees and the cool breeze coming off it was welcome. Somebody got creative with a chainsaw and cut a bench into a huge felled tree. At the top we went to the fire lookout first and sat to enjoy a snack. Got to see a glider flying around. Them went to the peak. Somebody was kind enough to flag a trail to the peak and even put a ladder on the rock you have to scramble for those who need it. I loved this part best of all. In total my watch told me that we did 11 miles in 5 hours
