It’s amazing what good company can do for a hike! Met up with a group of friends to complete this and it was such a better time than my summit last year! The weather was perfect. The lack of rain made the trail a little dusty. SO many tree roots but I only tripped a few times. The last time I did this, I was SWARMED by bugs, especially at the top, but they were few and far between this time. The wildflowers were so pretty! We were on our way down during the most amazing sunset! The endorphins run high after reaching the top 🙂 It felt so good to get back to climbing mountains after a bunch of traveling, camping, and canyon hikes.

I went through 3 liters of water and quite a few snacks so be prepared! It was warm the whole time, but the wind can get cold so a light jacket never hurts.
