This hike is the last on the list, but after completing Kendrick Peak, I was ready, and October was looming. Weather is the biggest concern here, after the elevation. We lucked out; it was cloudy most of the way, which made it much easier. The first part of the hike, to the treeline, is a gradual climb with some switchbacks. We left at 7:15am, and there were already lots of other hikers. The key is to start early and finish before the hail comes. We made it back down before 4pm, and, sure enough, the hail met us at the car. We had good views at the top until the misty fog rolled over the top. We headed down before noon. Happy to check this off my bucket list, and grateful for my husband, Stu, and my brother and sister-in-law, John and Lili, for joining me on this adventure.
