Oh Mylanta! It was H-O-T shade was a serious commodity.

I know, this isn't a long hike .. but it felt a lot longer than it was.  Even though I felt like I had plenty of water, I kept drinking water at every chance I had. And and and .. I still had to go get my slice of Julian Pie Company pie. I had been thinking about this pie all day and it kept me going.  Technically I could have stopped for the pie on the way from Cuyamaca to Volcan, but there was a long line of people.

There wasn't really much to see at the summit, so I explored a bit and found a really cool bench with carvings on it. I think my friends were tired as well because we only sat down long enough to get a drink of water and kept moving. On the way back we came across a hiker who encouraged us to check out the Five Oaks trail which added a few more steps to the hike, but it was totally worth it 🙂

Next stop. Pie!
