I went up the old trail and down the new trail, which was easier on the knees and safer. I had GPS but was still helpful to pay attention to the trail markers on the trees going up the old trail. The boulder field is a nice reprieve, followed by the super steep final push to the summit. I loved that the bear grass was in bloom. It was awesome to be up there and enjoy the views for a little while before heading back down.
