Hike Log

I know why they call it Ice House Canyon❄️❄️

Ice House Canyon

It was the most beautiful of the 3 six pack hikes I’ve been on. A lesson learned – I was way underdressed. It was 48 degrees when I started at 6:30. I was thinking that sunrise would warm things up. When I got to Ice House saddle there were wind gusts that turned my hands numb. The hike to the summit from the saddle was freezing with the wind and I thought the summit would be even worse. Ironically there was no wind at the top and it was gorgeous!! My guess is the canyon between the saddle and Cucamonga was just funneling intense winds.
