Jeff Hester I think I hate you. LOL.  I'm joking of course but this was tough and unlike anything I've done before. So exellerating.  The trail is so well maintained and those cables are very secure.  I put all my weight on them and I'm still alive.

  1. LOL at your comment, Betty!

I think I understand though. When you get to the ridge and starting going DOWN (and it’s steep) you think there must be something wrong. And then you get to the real climbing sections. Gloves are a must! One of the few hikes where your arms get as good a workout as your legs.

  2. Yes. Felt it in my arms the next morning, but then I went out to tackle Flatiron. I hiked up to where I was sitting right next to Flatiron but my legs were getting tired and I needed them to get me down. I was cussing you inside my head. I met a nice man that says he hikes it every Sunday and he told me to follow him down, that he knows every rock and the best way to go. He was great and my legs were like jello when I got down. I worked so hard but didn’t peak, so I’ll have to make a trip back with well rested legs.
