Hike Log

I neened to sit after this one

Trailhead:

Bear ridge and Sitton peak loop trail

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Snow free

A fun hike, with a steep ending (last half mile) to the peak, which also made the hike down a little tricky, the trail is rutted a lot from the rains and the foliage is overgrown a lot, I did this hike a year ago and it seemed a different hike due to the growth and rain erosion of the trail.   Over all a fun hike, started at 6:30 am, weather cool and it warmed up on the way back to about 73.  Great views over the mist on the way up and the flowers along the trail were awesome.

Note the Candy store is open and the road works on the Otegar Hikeway was not a problem for the trip there either from the 91 way there or the 5 on the way back.
