I survived the night in the Cucamonga Wilderness alone! I packed up my gear from Kelly Camp and made my way to Ice House Saddle then hid my pack at the saddle so I could slack pack to Cucamonga Peak. My intention was to get up early for sunrise summit but the mozzies and lack of sleep got the best of me. This was not a rush to the summit, just a challenge to see if I can backpack solo. I did it and I made it up to Cucamonga Peak with a feeling of real accomplishment. Two peaks completed, sleeping alone in the Wild and survived! You’ll never know what you are capable of unless you try!
