A great day to hike! I was with my beautiful wife which makes hikes all the more enjoyable. Usually all of the plants are dead or brown, but this time the trail was actually green for once. The breeze was nice, especially along the Five Oaks trail. Even a little strong at times. Then we got to the ‘truck trail' part and were almost blown off of the trail! The wind gusts were strong enough to where I almost lost my balance quite a few times. I took some videos, but can't figure out how to post them here. The clouds were low (May grey) and scattered, but were moving past us so fast. It was surreal. Anyhoo, a great day for a great hike with some surprises instore.
