Like most days during the “pandemic” I woke up and felt like hiking. I saw someone post a cool picture at Strawberry Peak and thought to myself “That looks nice.” Lemme tell you…..Save this one for the cooler months. Unless you start at 6am, this hike gets brutally hot. Shade is non existent after about the first mile. Also the danger noodles (snakes) were out and about which always adds an extra level of excitement. Its easy until you get to the last half mile where you have to do some serious climbing. Strawberry throws it at you hard at the end. Going down takes a lot of focus and planning of you steps. Bring more water than you think you will need if you plan on doing this in the heat like I did.
