My trail sister joined me. We had done Cucamonga and wanted to do Ontario the same day but got too tired so we were back another day to complete the second the peak. It was a bit warm so we started early. We took a break at the saddle then started the climb to the peak. It was very beautiful. The views of Baldy were incredible. There were only a few people on the peak. Seeing the iconic tree on the summit was neat. We were bummed we didn't remember our special summit cocktail and some nice fellow hikers gave us a small bottle of champagne. When I went to open it with the bottle opener attached to the tree it exploded all over me! It even went up my nose! We took a bunch of pictures and my friend was concerned that I might injure the tree by sitting on the branch. I assured her I wouldn't hurt it but she said she wouldn't be my friend if I did. Thank goodness the tree was still in good shape when we were done.
