Stayed at Marion Campground the night before to get a timely start. Temps were great for hiking in the am. The section from the trailhead to the PCT is often steep, covered in exposed roots and scree, and definitely not ADA compliant. The PCT is smooth sailing in comparison. The brook crossing the trail still has water. I drank about 3.5 liter. The last section of the trail, from Little Round Valley campground is exposed and uneven, but not too steep. Aside from the final scramble of course. Didn’t see anyone on the way up, so I was a bit startled to see a group of about a dozen teens up there coming from the tram side. On the way down I saw several other hikers, but not many. The last section was hot (80+Degrees) and steep, which was duly noted by my quads. It was a glorious day, but I don’t recommend it when it gets even hotter.
