I decided to do this hike in the spur of the moment because with all the rain and snow putting a damper on my hiking I thought I’d take the opportunity once I had a day off with sun.  This is my first peak of the year and since I’ve done it before I knew I would be just fine.
there were a few muddy areas on one side of the loop trail  but dry coming back the other side.  There weren’t too many people out.  I made it to the top and had my snack before going back down the treacherous steep hill which is tough on the knees.  That area can be a bit slippery but it is pretty rutted out.
The last 3 miles my foot started cramping really bad then the other one joined in on the fun on last mile. I hobbled back to my car and was so relieved to be done. I now know I need more supplements to help with cramping.
