Peak Number 5!!!!  I was able to get a permit to camp at High Creek for Sunday night going into Monday.  I really lucked out in that the trail did not have a ton of people on it, there were huge chunks of time on the trail where I had it to myself, including when I finally summited late in the afternoon, after setting up camp and taking a long snack break.  I had the peak to myself for an hour, except for two chipmunks who were trying to mug me for my lunch, LOL.

This was my first solo backpacking trip that was really in the backcountry and it was everything I could have wanted.   I took my time, took pictures everywhere and it felt really luxurious to spend the night and not feel like I had to rush down the trail to get out before it got too dark.

Also, I had my Gossamer Gear lightweight umbrella and used it pretty much nonstop from High Creek to the summit, it received many comments, LOL!  I think everyone should have one, all you need is the umbrella and some bungee straps to hook it to your backpack.   Made a world of difference struggling across that rock patch of the trail leading up to the summit in the blazing sun.

So glad I got this peak, I hiked a part of it last year on the Momyer Creek trail but didn't go up to the summit .  Proud of myself and grateful to have had this experience.  So beautiful.
