Absolutely spectacular, incredible hike!

This is a must-hike at least once in your lifetime. There is just nothing that will quite compare to hiking along the Franconian Ridge. Absolutely stunning.

Not to mention the plenty of picturesque waterfalls on the way up.

Park at Exit 34B, and you start right on the hiking loop that will guide you across Mount Lincoln. Honestly, I am still a bit confused on which peak Mount Lincoln actually is – however, the peaks on the Franconian Ridge are all very manageable – it just meanders up and down until you hit Mount Lafayette (can't miss that one).

It was very windy and quite cold on our hike, highly recommend bringing a fleece and windbreaker.

1/4 down the Old Bridle path you can stop at the Green Leaf Hut and buy a beverage or a baked good.

This is a wonderful hike. It took us 8 hours of slow but steady hiking (per Fitbit 30653 steps and 398 stairs). Absolutely worth it every step of the way.
