The hike starts out with a CLIMB for the first mile.  After that first mile, it evens out to a bit more gradual climb.  My boyfriend and I hiked through seemingly endless tall stalks (which we later learned were mullein plants) and saw the tail end of some wildflower blooms.  We were greeted with lots of wonderful shade as we climbed up the mountain.  On our way up, we met lots of other hikers, many of whom were also working on completing the Six-Pack of Peaks.  Upon reaching the summit, we rested and snacked before checking out the fire lookout tower, snapping some photos, and making our way back down the mountain.  Kendrick Peak offers some great views, beautiful flowers, and a nice workout.
