I'd hiked Kendrick a few times before, but this time was the best. Uncrowded, quiet except for the grasshoppers and occasional birds. The wildflowers were still blooming. The climb is gradual, and the views are spectacular. My husband and I took our time climbing to the Lookout Tower, where the sole occupant came out to say, “Hello, neighbors!” There was only 1 other guy at the top. I took a photo with Humphreys in the background. It was windy at the top, and about 55 degrees. The temperatures during the hike ranged from 55-70s. Perfect! We started at 9am and finished about 2pm. I'd give this hike a 10 out of 10.
