A late post but it was a great day for the hike to the summit with awesome views of the rolling hills and flat valleys in between the drifting fog from the East Bay. Around mile 11 there's flowing stream and a small little out cove where you can kick off your boots and stay awhile, enjoyed the cool water as we watched the butterflies and dragon flies that were around us. As we were close to the end of the trail head we spotted a 3ft rattlesnake basking in the afternoon sun.
