The trail was really well traveled and is in great condition. So it's very easy to follow (good amount of signage) and easy to find, but like I said, it's well traveled so you will find lots of people on the trail who can point you in the right direction if you get lost. I would say that the trail has a really good amount of shade which was excellent because I started later than I had planned (10am) so the sun was out and ready to burn by the time I started — in addition the amount of breeze was also fantastic in providing refuge from the heat and just sheer exhaustion I was feeling from the hike itself.

There was an annoying amount of insects that kept flying into my face despite the insect repellent that I used.

I think this is a very doable, non-intimidating hike for most people to do as long as they start early enough so they can rest. Because I started so late I felt pressured to just push through, I was able to finish the trek in exactly 7 hours with only two, 15min breaks (both were used to reapply sunscreen and repellent). However, pushing through came at a cost in that my legs are still sore three days later and I wish I had taken more time to rest.
