I finished my Six Pack this year on the Fish Creek trail to San Gorgonio. During my previous SoCal Six Pack Challenges my hiking group had always gone on the Vivian Creek trail. This year we wanted a different challenge, so we picked the Fish Creek trail. Benefits: you get to drive to the trail head at 8,000 feet, and the trail slope is therefore easier. Drawbacks: the road to the trail head is somewhat rough for 7.5 miles, the trail is not as pretty as Vivian Creek, and it is almost 20 miles to the top. It is still is good training for Mt. Whitney.
I am hoping that finishing my Six Pack this year qualifies me for Legacy status!
