Lower snow level, hit the trails!

Strawberry peak Trailhead near Red Box picnic area

Trail in good condition

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

No bugs

Snow:

Snowfields to cross – could be difficult

Began hike at 8 am. Minimal snow on the trail until  reaching the snow line near the Strawberry peak/meadows trail fork.  Micro-spikes were helpful for the steep hike up the fire break to the peak. Reached summit at 10:15.  Decent much easier, returned to parking lot by 11:30.   Very windy near the peak in between saddles.  Low visibility up top due to weather, I'll check out the views next time.  Snow was an added plus for this hike.
