Lucky #2

I had done Stone Wall back in Nov before I had even read anything about the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge. It was such a great view considering the fairly short nature of the trail and gradual climb to the peak. When I was asked if I wanted to hit Cuyamaca Peak I was excited for a similar view at higher elevation and it did not disappoint. While we were unaware of the closure it was a Sunday so no work in progress and conditions were safe. We had expected some snow from previous reports but there were only a few intermittent areas of snow and ice within the last portion of the climb. Overall, good trail despite being on the fire road the entire time but would likely opt for Stone Wall between the two, however, both pair very nicely with a breakfast beer or three!
