We arrived at the trailhead around 6:30 in the morning and parking was full. We had to park 1/2 a mile a way from the trailhead. Lesson learned: if it’s weekend and weather is perfect, arrive early! Or just try to hike on the weekday.
The hike going up to the peak was tough but all worth it. The view was breathtaking! We stayed an hour on the peak, enjoyed the view, had lunch, took few photos and had chitchats with friends.
I had trouble going down, my feet started to hurt and my toes were tender! Glad I got hiking poles. So another lesson learned, find a perfect shoe and learn how to tie your laces the right way.
On the way down, we had few stops for snacks, water break and to check for any blisters! Lucky, I don’t have one.
We are all looking forward for our next hike! And to complete the 6 pack of peaks challenge! Hike more, worry less!
