Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

Took the Marion Trail climb to San Jacinto.  Solid snow before the top of Marion.  Good Snow cover from Deer springs intersection all the way up.  Crampons and helmet recommended on the final ascent, with ice bombs still falling out of the higher elevation trees.  Ice it pretty packed on final ascent and fast.   Overall a great day on the ice.  Weather was cold and windy at the top.
