Beautiful day for a hike.

The sky was blue and the birds were chirping. It was pretty brisk beginning from the trailhead and progressively got colder and windier as we approached the summit.

A few miles up the trail and there were intermittent patches of snow and ice along the switchbacks and all the way up to the summit. I definitely recommend microspikes for these sections. Doable, without, but much easier to maneuver, with.
