Started off early at 8am and we were so glad we did as the hike down it became a little toasty. Clear skies, little breeze here and there and dry, clear trail to the top through forest. The 365 degree views at the top were amazing and we stopped to enjoy it all while we had lunch. Met very few people but did get to chat to a couple of young girls on their way up as we were coming down who were also doing the challenge! Glad we had mosquito spray as there were quite a few but none at the top. Must have worked as not bitten at all. We ended our day by driving 5 miles west and taking time for a quick visit to Salt Creek Waterfall and soaked our dirty aching feet in the cold river before heading home. Fun hike with great company!
