Arrived Saturday at 8:00 AM at Ohlone College parking lot with plenty of parking in the garage.  This Peak Trail route is more varied than the Stanford route as it winds around and is a combination of fire road and single track path.  Some of it is under trees which would have provided wonderful shade if it had been a hot summer day.  But our morning was cold, foggy and on the way up we couldn't see very far past the trail.   At the summit there was no view either as we were in the clouds and the freezing wind was whipping over the mountain.  Then the world opened up on the way down!  The sun came out and we had views of the Bay, and in the other direction, Sunol and Pleasanton.  Lots of people, dogs on leashes, and some cattle on the trail. Wonderful hike!
