My husband and I arrived at 7:10 a.m.  Already the side streets were full of cars, so we didn’t even try the parking lot.  We parked 0.6 miles from the trailhead, so we added 1.2 miles to our total mileage.

It is Easter Day, so that may have added to the crowds.  I am guessing at least 1,000 people climbed Mission Peak today.

Mission Peak is a steady climb and the last mile gets steep & the last 1/4 mile is technical.  It was chilly at the top, 45 degrees around 9:30 a.m.

It was a beautiful hike with lush green hills and cows that make me smile.  All hikers were very friendly.  It was a great way to spend Easter morning.
