We finally did a sunrise hike. Left the house at 1am, got to the trailhead just before 3am and started our way up under full headlamp. Very little light pollution so we could see more stars in the sky that night than in a whole year in the South Bay. As we neared the summit, the sky was already starting to change colors. We found a good spot with only two other crazy people on the summit, sat down and brewed two cups of coffee as we watched the sun rise. What a great change up to the normal routine.
