We started at 8:30am so the temperature was quite cool. Things were going well until my old (and not great) hiking shoes started causing blisters. By the time we got to the summit my feet were bleeding and half dollar size chunks of skin had been removed from my heals. But no worries! My hiking buddy is a veterinary surgeon and travels with bandaging material at all times. She patched me up on the summit and we descended. A crazy man high on drugs tried to verbally assault us in the parking lot before we rode down to the lodge in town for food and beer. There, the crazy man re-emerged this time acting friendly and telling us he wasn’t wearing underwear. Overall, a great hike, great day to be spent outdoors with friends! Perfect weather and great views!
