Mount Nebo! Starting September off with a bang!

For some reason the idea of this Peak overwhelmed me the most of the 6. The reviews made the scramble to the top seem tough and the elevation is no joke. The first 3.5 miles were so pretty. We went through a Forrest filled with red berries which had to be my favorite part of the hike. The next 1-1.5 to the summit were challenging but not too bad! The hardest part for us was sticking to the right trail. There were so many off shoots that looked like the trail through the rocky parts and then you would look up or down and realize you were not on the right one! When going up you should be staying to the right of the peaks and when going down stay on the left. Once on top the views were incredible! We looked all over for a survey monument but could never find one👎. The mile down seemed harder than the up, but we made it! We did this hike on a Thursday and never saw another person until we got back to the parking lot, I was expecting to see others out on the trail. So glad I was able to hike this peak⛰.
