I actually attempeted this hike twice. The first time I had to cut it short for a family gathering in Napa, but the second time I did it without any problems. I came to the parking early enough to have a spot and was on the trail in no time. It did get pretty hot because once you start getting out of the valley it opens up. It was very sunny so I took a nap on some rocks near the summit. Great views on top and it was very worth the sun damage to my exposed skin.
