Falling love with this scenic State park, I’ve hiked Mount Tam three times in last one month, entered trails from the west (Mill Valley), northeast (Kentfield), and southwest (Stinson Beach) of the park respectively, total 33.98 miles trails and 6851 feet elevation gain. My most favorite trail is Dipsea, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful trails in the world, where hikers smell the fragrance of woods, listen to the sounds of birds, reading inspiring race plaques while climbing the stairs…My favorite spot is the O’Rourke’s Bench and the Plaque “Give me these hills and the friends I love. I ask no other heaven. To our Dad O’Rourke, in joyous celebration of his 76th birthday, Feb. 25th, 1927. From the friends to whom he showed this heaven.”

    1. Agreed with you. Besides the natural beauty, Mt Tam’s cultural history is also quite fascinating to me. And watching outdoor productions of Broadway musicals in that Mountain Theater must be a very enjoyable experience.
