I drove to the trail head but the parking lot was full so I had to start from the top at the tower and then go down. I ended up having lunch at the original parking lot (even took a little siesta) and made the trek back up. The weather was very hot so I ended up shedding most of my clothes but kept my boonie hat on to protect my face from the sun.
