On Sunday myself and Justin @rockhoundhiker went to the Mt. Wilson Trail via Chantry Flats. We did the 15 mile loop and wanted to see how many fallen trees were still in the way. We found a lot of trail projects. There was a lot of smaller stuff that we cleared along the way but there are at least up to 10 large size trees that have fallen and would need a crosscut saw to clear. The majority are oak trees, so that makes the job that much more difficult. Most of the fallen trees are easy enough to get around though and we had an awesome hike! You can see some examples in the pictures and a before and after shot. There are also two shots of the old call boxes…too bad there was no dial tone, but we pretended we were making an important call about all the fallen trees lol ????
