Snowfields to cross – could be difficult

Started at 6:30 am at Chantry Trail. It gets packed later on in the day, so I recommend starting 10-15 mins before sunrise to help! Also, I checked the weather app, via iphone, and it mislead me thinking it was just going to be cloudy the first couple of hours. It was poring rain and around the 2.5 mile mark, I contemplated turning back because I did not have water proof shoes. However, the sun broke out and I continued onward. Around 3-4k altitude you discover snow, luckily I brought crampons just in case and boy did they help! I highly recommend at the very least micro spikes, however, everyone I ran into did not have any spikes and were regretting it. Definitely nice scenery and enjoyed my hike there!
