Chantry Flats was closed, so we drove 5 mintues down the road to the other entrance. Going this route, to the summit was 8 miles, so 16 miles round trip. It was a beautiful hike, sunny, not too hot, with lots of wildflowers and butterflies! My friends got bit up by mosquitoes, but I manage to escape without any bites. The hike down was a little brutal on the knees, but overall, a pretty easy hike with steady elevation gain.
