Got rained out of hot springs mountain for the day so Woodson it was. The lake is quaint, there are sets of porta-potties in the first 2 miles. Beautiful shrubs surround the red rocks. The green rocky terrain was springing alive. You can see for many miles at the top. The electrical centers are at the top, so there isn't a “Peak” persay. Windy farther up, and caught in light rain fall on the way down. Most folks see the “potato chip” as the peak, and it allowed for spectacular photos. Small and leisurely accent and descent.  Great warm-up. There was a gentleman that helped get up onto the potato chip, it is a bit of a leap to get up to that bit from adjacent rock.
