To culminate Valentine and double peak weekend, our group tackled Mount Woodson and the famed Potato Chip Rock. Did I mention we summited El Cajon the day before? 🙂

It was a good call to start at 6:00 am, before the crowds came. The last time I went, it was tough to find parking along the 67. There were tons of families with small kids on the trail, and the wait to get on the chip was unbearably long.

It was a steady incline on pavement so nothing too crazy or sweat-worthy. Our group of 10 managed to get several solo and group photos on the chip before the masses came.

It was my third trek to Potato Chip Rock but my first time on the chip. All in all, it was a spectacular end to a weekend of San Diego peak-bagging and camping with good friends.
