After reading up on this peak we decided to go mid week to avoid some of the weekend crowds. We arrived at the parking lot a approximately 5:30 am and there was plenty of parking. Got on the trail by 6 am making our way up the trail. This has so far been my favorite hike. The valley was supper green and lush making for beautiful scenery as you ascend. The trail was in great shape and easy to navigate. About mid way up we started to come upon the goats. They had no cares that we were there as they walked along the trail and sometimes staring us down as if they wanted a treat. Was surprising how close they would get to us, some time only a few feet away. The views were amazing from the summit and despite mother nature threatening some rain, the weather held out, we stayed dry and the day was awesome.
