Hiked to summit of Baden-Powell as part of a 50 mile section hike of the PCT with my cousin who is thru hiking the PCT. Started from Inspiration Point trailhead and was about 5 miles to get to the base of Baden-Powell trail. From there the first 2 miles was steep but relatively snow clear. After about halfway up the trail gets covered by snow and the switchbacks are buried so we had to follow the boot pack up. It was a pretty clear trail of footsteps to follow but there were a couple of parts that were very steep and we took our time to find our footholds. We had micro spikes and poles which made me a lot more comfortable but some PCT hikers were doing it without spikes and were able to summit. Was a beautiful day and super clear out so had excellent views of Baldy and even Gorgonio in the distance. There were a handful of PCT hikers up on the summit as well and we had a nice little lunch break at the top. Since we were hiking the PCT we didn't have to go back down the same way and instead continued along the ridge-line and eventually down towards Little Jimmy campground where we spent the first night. Glad not to have had to backtrack down the boot pack, would have been a little scary. Overall was a pretty hard hike yet the views 100% made it worth it.
